We have another Pepper Adams transcription in the repository thanks to Bastian Contreras! This solo is on the song “Tensions” from Charles Mingus’ album ‘Blues and Roots’, very much a classic album. Head over the transcription page to check it out!

Check out this excellent footage of a young Pepper Adams performing “Sophisticated Lady” with Lionel Hampton. Nice chance to see Pepper a bit earlier than usual – still sounding great!
